Who says for festive we have to prepare rice? Do you think jollof rice or friedrice should be the special food for festive? Do you ever crave for another meal aside from jollof rice or fried rice during festive period? On Monday after work I went to shop for few food items with vegetables and drink for Wednesday festive. So it Wednesday first of Shawwal and also i celebrated my Eid- il- fitri, i decided to prepare sweet potato porridge, i peeled the sweet potato and put it on fire while I chop my carrot, onion and rinse my fish, once my potato is soft to my satisfaction  I added my blended pepper, carrot, onion, fish, Palm oil and seasoning it, i covered it and let it simmer for few minutes and serve it. I was indoor all through but I enjoyed my sweet potato porridge with my chilled strawberry flavour yoghurt, below is the pictures. You should try having another delicacy apart from rice during festive period.

Have you ever hold a chicken before? Have you ever butcher a chicken? How do you butcher it? As a child am always scared of holding a live chicken, when it get closer to me am going to scream as much as I can because am always scared of it. Growing up I assist to remove the feathers of chicken after is being slaughtered but I have never hold a live one or slaughter it before. In the house once a live chicken is bought my second daddy or my daddy do the slaughtering,  fast forward to few days back my second mummy bought a live chicken and is getting late, she needs to prepare supper, she ask my cousin to go and butcher it but they couldn't  so she ask if I could do it, i told her i would try. I hold on to the knife and was standing i do not know how to catch the chicken, she observed and went aheard to catch it and hand it over to me, i collected it with faith and take it to the side where am to butcher it, i lay it down but held on to the wings and use my leg to hold

Have you ever eating beans prepared for twin before ( Ewa ibeji)? Do you know the type of beans they use in preparing it? On this faithful  day I needed to buy some food stuff at the store on getting to the store while going through my list and calling out names with the measurement  that I wanted to get, a woman join in and order for Ewa otili ( Pigeon pea), my inquisitive mind would not let me rest so I ask the woman who is making the purchase what is used for, she told me is beans and its okay she left after her purchase and bid me bye. I went to meet the lady attending to me and started asking her, Me: What type of beans is this? Seller: It is called Ewa otili, It is a sweet beans? Me: Does it take time to prepare? Seller: No, if you are using gas under 1hour is ready. Me: Okay. I have never seen such beans before in my life, am only familiar with soyabeans and it does not really look like one, the lady says is highly nutrious and it get done like normal beans, I ask what

It happened on a Sunday morning after doing house chores I switched on my data and open my Twitter looking at post, i saw Inec (Independent National Electoral Commission) post about the distribution of pvc  (Permanent Voters Card) commencement at various unit, my urge for wanting to make sure my vote count, made me check if my pvc is in Lagos I enter my details on their site and Gbam it is in Lagos. I then plan on visiting  the Inec office at the nearest local government which is at Abekoko bus-stop, Iyana- Ipaja, Lagos to pick up my voters card the next day. On Monday I tried as much as possible to tidy up and clear my table before 3:00 clock so that I can leave for the Inec office, on getting there I saw some people outside with forms and passport, i entered and went to the office where I visited the last time to fill transfer of my pvc card, i met the lady I greeted her and told her my reason for coming which is to pick up my pvc, she directed me to another office, i got there a
